Continued expansion for Motorpoint in South Wales

The 10-acre site in Newport, South Wales, which opened its doors in 2005, has witnessed substantial growth, with annual sales currently estimated at an impressive £65 million for 2007. The newly-revised premises incorporate a modern reception and sales area with the aim of creating a more comfortable environment, providing a unique, informative, and hassle free buying experience. This has predominantly been achieved through the incorporation of an open plan reception, refreshment and seating area, where customers are able to relax whilst waiting to collect their vehicles or discuss their purchasing requirements.
Furthermore, the capacity of the covered showroom has been extended to accommodate 500 new and used vehicles, and individual IT workstations in the new sales area means that staff have access to a further 4,000 models in stock. Motorpoint’s Newport site is equally contributing to the growing number of women on the retailer’s forecourts, with female staff now counting for 25% of the 50-strong workforce.
