New fixed rate ISA from the Coventry

From Sunday 6 April, Coventry Building Society will be offering a new competitive fixed rate cash ISA, paying 6.00%, tax free, until 31 May 2009.

The account can be opened with £3,600 - the increased full cash ISA allowance for the new tax year (2008/2009).

Rachel Haworth, Head of Marketing at the Coventry comments: “The new account will be ideal for customers who prefer the certainty of a fixed rate in a falling rate environment and who are prepared to tie up their funds for one year.”

Savers will be able to open and transact on their account at any Coventry branch, as well as operating the account over the telephone or through Coventry’s online services.

Customers can apply by telephoning the Customer Service Centre on 0845 7665522, by ordering an application pack online at thecoventry.co.uk, or by visiting any of the Coventry’s 48 branches.
