TyreSafe launches online tyre pressure check facility

According to TyreSafe, the UK’s leading tyre safety organisation, 90% of motorists do not know the inflation pressures for the tyres on their vehicle! Having the correct pressures will save fuel, reduce CO2 emissions and potentially prevent a serious accident.

So, TyreSafe has teamed up with global information solutions provider, Experian, allowing motorists to have access to an online service which supplies the tyre pressures for their vehicle. Motorists just have to log on to tyresafe.org, key in their vehicle registration number, and the tyre pressures for both front and rear tyres will be displayed. The free pressure check facility is being provided to motorists in the run up to, and including, tyre safety month which runs throughout the month of October.

Motorists checking their tyre pressures on the TyreSafe website will also be entered into a free prize draw to win a brand new Apple iPod Nano MP3 player worth £200. During tyre safety month, all participating tyre dealers in the UK will be offering free tyre safety and pressure checks to motorists visiting their premises.
