Motorpoint signs sponsorship deal with Peterborough Phantoms

Motorpoint, UK car supermarket, has teamed up with top English Premier Ice Hockey League squad, the Peterborough Phantoms for the 2008 season.

As part of the sponsorship agreement, Motorpoint will be providing the Phantoms with a brand new Vauxhall Zafira for the duration of the season, while the retailer’s logo will feature on the team’s clothing, on arena perimeter boards, and in the Weekly Match Night publication.

The Zafira will be in with livery of the colours of the EPIHL team, who are hoping to lift the championship trophy for a third time, and will be stationed outside the entrance of the arena on match nights for all Phantoms fans to see.

Opening their fifth outlet at Edgerly Drain Road in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire earlier this year, Motorpoint has further enhanced their status as the leading car supermarket in the UK, and the support of the Phantoms will provide additional exposure for the newest site.

Commenting on the sponsorship of the Peterborough Phantoms, James Faulkner, General Manager of Motorpoint Peterborough, explains: “We are always looking at innovative ways of raising our profile, and being associated with a top Premier League Ice Hockey team such as the Peterborough Phantoms, with such remarkable support from their local community, is a new way we can do that which we are very excited about.”
