Halifax, Birmingham Midshires and The Mortgage Business clean up at the Financial Adviser Service Awards

HBOS's five mortgage brands – Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Birmingham Midshires, The Mortgage Business and Intelligent Finance – cleaned up at last week's Financial Adviser Mortgage Service Awards.

The Awards, which recognise the importance of quality service from product providers to their Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) clients, are considered the key benchmark for service standards within the retail finance marketplace.

Halifax, Birmingham Midshires and The Mortgage Business each received top honours with a '5 star' service award whilst Bank of Scotland and Intelligent Finance each received a '4 star' service award.

The awards are based on a poll of over 2,500 IFA firms and rate providers from a range of '1 Star' (poor service) to '5 Star' (excellent service). IFAs rate providers on a number of areas including new business processing, personal contact, central processing, product knowledge and reliability.

Commenting on the win, Peter Jackson, head of products at HBOS, said: "To have been recognised for our quality service across all five HBOS mortgage brands is a great achievement and a reflection of all the hard work of our colleagues in providing such high levels of service."
