A whopping 85 percent of Britannia members would recommend the Society to a friend.

So, Britannia is rewarding their loyalty with a brand new scheme.

Existing customers who recommend a friend through the Friends of Britannia scheme will receive a thank you gift when their pal opens a savings account or takes out a mortgage.

The scheme begins in mid December and gifts include a free 12 month magazine subscription, family cinema tickets and membership to English Heritage.

Tim Franklin, Managing Director of Member Business, said: "Our Member Satisfaction Survey, which was carried out earlier this year, revealed that 85 percent of our members would recommend us to a friend.

"This is a tremendous boost for the Society so we have decided to reward our members' loyalty if they introduce a friend to the benefits of Britannia."
