Yorkshire Building Society launches range of no fees mortgages

Yorkshire Building Society staff are learning to say “No!” about their new range of ‘No Fees’ mortgages.

The new range of fee-free mortgages has:

no product fees
no legal fees
no standard valuation fee
no money transfer fee
no higher lending charge for re-mortgages

The range is led by a five-year fixed rate mortgage at 5.89% with the same rate applying to the 10 year deal.

David Heshon, Yorkshire’s Product Development Manager – Mortgages commented, “There has been an inexorable rise in product fees in recent months, as lenders compete to get in to Best-Buy tables with headline rates. It has become increasingly difficult for customers to work out what the best deal is. With this new range of products what you see is what you get – a straightforward rate, with no additional up-front costs.”

All mortgages are available for new borrowers and existing borrowers moving home. The maximum loan to value is 95% for home movers and 90% for re-mortgages.
