Following the Royal Mail’s Communication Workers Union announcement to strike on Friday 29th June, GMAC-RFC has stated that due to its advanced technology, “It’s business as usual”.

The strike is due to last one day only, however lenders without sophisticated on-line systems will suffer, as a result of this one day strike. This is unlike GMAC-RFC, where their service will be undisrupted due to their award winning technology.

Julie Gaskin, corporate relations manager comments: “Many lenders will experience serious delays to their processing and subsequent extra paperwork as they try and catch up. This is because posted application forms and other other paper copies of documents need to be posted. Whilst the strike is only due to last for one day, their service will nonetheless be hit hard and we could see some disruptions in their service. Fortunately we will provide uninterrupted service.”

GMAC-RFC’s POSO technology means that brokers and packagers will not face delays in service to obtain a mortgage offer. They can also submit the application on-line so their reputation remains intact and there will be no unwanted stress.

Gaskin continues: “Our on-line system will provide consistent, excellent and an immediate response which allows our packagers and brokers to book the funds to secure the product rate on-line.”

Gaskin concludes: “For the few cases that we require anymore supporting documents, we allow our brokers and partners to either email, scan or fax the information over to GMAC-RFC. It really is business as usual for us at GMAC-RFC and we continue to provide speed and certainty.”
