Brown takes T-Car title at Silverstone

Having dominated the 2007 T-Car series to date, Daniel Brown (16, from Billericay), backed by the famed motorsport and accessory brand, MOMO, finally secured his maiden title in style, with yet another double race win weekend at Silverstone.

Despite knowing a solid points finish would probably be enough to secure the title, an imperious Brown showed no signs of taking his foot off the gas, as on a damp track, he posted qualifying times half a second faster than any other driver to claim pole position for the 11th and 12th time in just 13 races this season.

His dominance in qualifying was repeated in both of the day’s races, as Dan led from lights to flag in rounds 12 and 13 – winning with a four second margin on both occasions - to record his eighth and ninth wins of the season, building an insurmountable 51 points lead in the process, with just three rounds to go.

Commenting on his first motorsport title, Dan remarked; “it feels fantastic to finally claim the title I’ve been working hard towards all year, and to do it with two more wins makes it even sweeter. Hopefully I can finish off the season in the same fashion to take my career onwards and upwards”.
