Nationwide updates fixed rate and tracker mortgage deals
Nationwide Building Society has announced changes to some of its fixed rate and tracker mortgages. The new rates are available from Tuesday 2nd October 2007.The new details are as follows:
Home Mover
Two year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 5.85%
Two year fixed rate (no fee) available from: 6.25%
Two year fixed rate (with £999 fee) available from: 5.72%
Three year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 5.85%
Five year fixed rate (with £599 fee) available from: 5.85%
Ten year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 5.78%
Two year tracker (with £599 fee) available from: 5.68%
Two year tracker (no fee) available from: 6.08%
Two year tracker (with £1,499 fee) available from: 5.48%
Remortgage and Additional Borrowing
Two year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 6.08%
Two year fixed rate (no fee) available from: 6.48%
Two year fixed rate (with £999 fee) available from: 5.88%
Three year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 6.08%
Five year fixed rate (with £599 fee) available from: 5.98%
Ten year fixed rate (with £499 fee) available from: 5.98%
Two year tracker (with £599 fee) available from: 5.83%
Two year tracker (no fee) available from: 6.23%
Nationwide will continue to offer a five year fixed rate mortgage without a reservation fee, which is available to switchers (existing Nationwide mortgage borrowers switching to another Nationwide mortgage). The product has a saving of £599 compared to the usual fee on this product and a rate from 5.98%.
All Nationwide fixed rate mortgages offer borrowers the additional flexibility to overpay, underpay and take payment holidays. They are also fully portable, so borrowers can take their mortgage with them if they decide to move to a new home during the deal period.
Nationwide will withdraw the current products at 11.59pm on Monday 1st October 2007.
