Dealers choose Experian’s autocheck
Since the start of the financial year, nearly 300 UK dealers have signed up to vehicle provenance services from Experian, the global information solutions company, proving that it continues to be one of the leading suppliers on the market.Despite fierce competition from some other providers, Experian has continued to win new dealer clients and retain existing ones. Experian’s service has faced intense scrutiny against similar services offered by other major providers, but Experian consistently comes out as the superior provider.
Kirk Fletcher, the Managing Director of Experian’s Automotive division, said: “This is a testament to Experian’s services as well as our strong working relationships with our dealer clients. These clients continue to place their confidence in Experian’s provenance services year after year and even where competitors have come in and attempted to compete on price, the quality, efficiency and flexibility of Experian’s services have stood out.
“Clients have commented that our customer service is good, our system is less complicated and more concise than others, but, most importantly, our data has more credibility. The fact that we continue to win new business on the back of client recommendations speaks volumes about our services.
“A consumer survey recently carried out by Experian found that trust and reputation are the most important factors affecting where consumers shop for used cars, especially at a time when fraud is a growing issue. Provenance plays a key role in protecting a dealer’s reputation, so a reliable service is important.”
Among the clients is the BCC Motor Group. Kevin Walsh, Group Operations Manager, said: “The level of the service we have received from Experian has been second to none, which is why we have continued to sign up with them year after year. BCC Motor Group has been operating for 23 years now, so we have established a good reputation in the North West of England. Our customers know that they can buy a used car from us with confidence. For this reason, provenance is vital to our used car side of the business and Experian has given us is a full, reliable and customer focused service all the way through.
“We have found the service from Experian to be better than every other service on the market, so why would we change?”
This comes as Experian unveils its new and improved vehicle provenance services for the automotive industry. Car Data Check has been re-launched as AutoCheck, giving dealers the next generation in vehicle provenance reporting, while the Vehicle Mileage Check process has been streamlined, with new options introduced giving dealers a greater user experience.
Kirk added: “We believe that we now offer the most intuitive provenance service on the market. It has been designed in such a way that the dealers get the key information they want and in the way they want it.
“When Experian entered the automotive market ten years ago, it changed the face of provenance services by challenging what was already there. Little has significantly changed since then. Now Experian is set to revolutionise the user experience once again. We have always worked closely with individual clients to provide solutions that meet their specific needs, but during the last financial year, we have been digging deeper, doing more than just listening to our clients. We have been getting right under their skin and building agile responses to their needs.
“This is just the beginning of a longer journey with bigger and better things to come. We plan to shake up the industry and force change, so that the ultimate beneficiaries are the dealer clients. AutoCheck is already making an impact that is being welcomed by the industry.”
