Abbey for intermediaries to bring back exclusives

Abbey for Intermediaries is to re-introduce mortgage exclusives through its broker channel after withdrawing them last month to help maintain service levels.

The new exclusives will be offered to limited number of commercial partners in the first instance. The products all have a maximum 50% LTV and range between 5.76 per cent and 5.81 per cent.

Adrian Whittikar, Key Accounts Director, Abbey for Intermediaries said: "We made a commitment to intermediaries that we would return with our exclusives range when market conditions allowed. We are now making good on that promise.

"We are calling this a ‘soft launch' as we are still not yet in a position where we can handle a massive influx of business that would be generated if we released a full exclusive range.

"More exclusives will become available in time, however reintroducing these products will be a long process and will be largely driven by market conditions.

"This latest move sends out a clear message to all who work with us that not only are we still in the market to lend, but our dedication to the intermediary market remains a key part of our business goal."
