Paradigm chooses Equilaw for equity release legal services

Paradigm Mortgage Services, the mortgage partnership proposition, has revealed Equilaw LLP as its chosen legal services supplier for all equity release-related matters.

Equilaw operates a national service within the equity release sector providing independent expert legal advice to those clients who may be looking to release equity from their home. All equity release clients must visit a solicitor to complete their equity release transaction and receive bespoke guidance on the details of the plan and the legal obligations that are attached to it.

Paradigm members will now be able to offer clients access to Equilaw’s legal services and have the added benefit of keeping fully up to date with the progress of the case through Equilaw’s case tracker service. Here, members will be able to view the case status via a secure log-in page on the Equilaw website. Equilaw will be working with Paradigm on delivering a range of information to members through training and website projects.

The establishment of the relationship with Equilaw follows Paradigm recent launch of its Equity Release Provider Panel for members. The panel operates with a range of providers in both the lifetime mortgage and home reversion sector.
