Fee free mortgage offer from Yorkshire Bank
Yorkshire Bank has announced a boost for homeowners with the launch of a fee free mortgage offer. From Tuesday 5th May, the Bank is waiving arrangement fees for new customers looking to re-mortgage on a range of fixed rate, offset and current account mortgages. This offer, which is available for a limited time, represents a saving of £999 which is the current re-mortgage arrangement fee for fixed, offset and current account mortgages.
In addition, fixed and offset customers re-mortgaging from another lender won't have to pay any legal or valuation fees providing their mortgage is over £25,000 and they use Yorkshire Bank's appointed solicitors. Plus customers are entitled to a free switching package.
Yorkshire Bank, and its sister company, Clydesdale Bank, are confident that the re-introduction of the offer will be welcomed by homeowners. The Banks have already seen a significant rise in the number of mortgage applications in 2009 with a 40% increase in the first in the first five weeks of the year.
Gary Lumby, Head of Retail for Yorkshire Bank, said: "At Yorkshire Bank we are focused on delivering a range of products that meet the needs of our customers.
"The current economic climate means that fewer people are moving home and instead are looking to re-mortgage in order to take advantage of more competitive mortgage rates. Our fee free mortgage is designed to help people find the correct mortgage to suit their individual needs without having to pay an arrangement fee."
