FLA becomes ATA for DVLA keeper data

16th November 2007 Print
Responding to the DVLA’s recent decision to restrict DVLA keeper data access to members of accredited bodies, the FLA has become a DVLA Accredited Trade Association (ATA). This swift action ensures that FLA members providing Motor Asset Registration Services will continue to be able to access DVLA keeper data.

Following criticism, the DVLA acted to tighten up security earlier this year, so as to reduce the of identity fraud.

Commenting on the FLA’s accreditation, Paul Harrison, motor policy adviser, said: “The FLA is delighted to have been accepted as an Accredited Trade Association. This will allow our members to continue to access data which is vital for their businesses. We have agreed a light-touch Code of Practice which will govern our members’ access to DVLA keeper data.”
