Major prizes up for grabs at London Motorsport Show

A weekend at a 2008 UK race event (excluding Formula 1) in a luxury Stingray RV Motorhome worth over £2,000 is just one of the prizes up for grabs in the London Motorsport Show’s fundraising raffle in aid of the Richard Burns Foundation. Others on offer at the show which is held at ExCeL on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December include a host of motorsport memorabilia signed by leading names from within the motorsport industry.

The second prize is a Vibe CBR10 subwoofer in a custom made original box with a built-in amplifier worth £200. Third prize is a Richard Burns Foundation t-shirt signed by British Formula 1 legend David Coulthard and an exclusive Richard Burns Foundation fleece.

To enter all visitors have to do is answer the following question by texting the word RBF and the letter corresponding to the answer along with their full name to 80818. The text costs £1, will all monies raised going to support the Richard Burns Foundation.

Visitors can text their entry as soon as they wish and have up until 2pm on Sunday 9th December before the lines close and the winners are announced on the Richard Burns Foundation stand.

The Richard Burns Foundation was launched in June 2006 and was set up in the name of the former World Champion, who lost his brave fight against brain cancer in November 2005 at the age of 34. The Richard Burns Foundation aims to assist in the support and care of those who are suffering from life threatening or serious illness or injuries. The RBF also incorporates the Michael Park Fund set up to help people and also support their families, who have suffered serious or life threatening injuries, particularly those suffered in motor sport, whilst also promoting and aiding research into these causes and their prevention.

The London Motorsport Show covers all disciplines of motorsport and is a must for any motor racing enthusiast. Karting, rally driving, saloons and single seater racers will all be represented with ‘have a go’ areas and workshops by leading professionals. Zones include the Future of Motorsport, Girls in Motorsport and Historic Motorsport.

The show also hosts Central London’s first live motorsport action – The London Masters Rallycross Competition which will see competitive racing in the grounds of Excel in an arena based circuit that will see around 100 Rallycross competitors battle it out over the two days. Reigning division champions will test their driving skills to limit on a purpose built course that has been created specifically for the competition. Reaching speed of 80mph and aiming for a lap time of around 35 seconds, visitors will be on the edge of their seats watching the exhilarating live action.

Entries will be judged after the closing date and the winners will be notified by phone within 10 days of that date.
Prizes will be arranged and where appropriate despatched to winners within 28 days of notification by the companies involved.

The UK Motoring events excludes Formula 1 events
