Motorpoint launches first ever e-showroom for shoppers
Gone are the days of static vehicle displays and brochures in shopping malls. This is because Motorpoint, UK car supermarket, has introduced the UK’s first ever virtual e-showroom at the newly-opened Westfield Derby shopping centre in the West Midlands, which has seen an average of 600,000 consumers pass through its doors every week since October this year.From 03 December, 2007 until New Year’s Eve, visitors to the centre, will under one roof, be able to purchase a competitively priced vehicle from the retailer whilst grabbing their Christmas bargains, all within reach of Santa’s grotto. In addition to a display of some of the latest models on offer at Motorpoint in a dedicated area, customers are able to browse through a live stock list of over 3,000 new and used cars and commercial vehicles which includes full specification and photos, and visitors can equally take advantage of the facility to instantly make a reservation.
Motorpoint sales staff will be available each day to answer any queries, provide instant trade-in valuations valid for 30 days, and set up affordable finance packages which are all underwritten by Lloyds TSB’s Blackhorse division. Furthermore, as part of their Boomerang™ vehicle finance programme, the retailer will be contributing £300 towards the customer’s deposit.
Commenting on the initiative, John Hood, General Manager of Motorpoint, explains: “In the run-up to the Christmas period, consumers are always struggling for time, and with the challenge to find the ultimate gifts for their family and friends. This is why for the first time in the UK, we have brought the car showroom to shoppers, in what is set to be a truly exciting and unique shopping experience.”
