Company car drivers put romance to the test

Over half of the 8,500 on-line respondents who took part in the survey claimed that going on a break with their partner or spouse would be their preferred choice for putting the GM model through its paces. They chose this over going to visit family or having a weekend away with a group of friends. And it was the male drivers who outnumbered females in choosing the romantic option.
And the destination? Cornwall came top taking 34% of the votes, ahead of that of some of the other most scenic areas in the country, including the Western Isles of Scotland, and the Gower Peninsula in Wales.
Although a trip with a loved one ranked the highest, it would appear that company car drivers have neither lost their sense of adventure, with a photographic expedition, a golfing holiday, and exploring the family history, also featuring high up on their wish list of things to do during a long weekend.
Commenting on the findings, Paul Adler, GM Fleet Marketing Manager explains: “The results of the study show there more to company car drivers than business mileage! It also shows just how versatile our vehicles are too, and their ability to fulfill the diverse needs – whether business or boy’s weekend – every company car driver has. With one of the biggest ranges of models to choose from, it is no surprise that the GM Fleet range has romanced so many fleet drivers in the UK.”
