MUGEN EURO one year on

It is exactly one year since the formation of MUGEN EURO Co. Limited in the UK was revealed.

Hiro Toyoda, Vice President of the new company, is pleased to be able to confirm that since that announcement MUGEN EURO has:

become successfully established in Northampton in premises which include a current F1-standard transient engine test cell

been acting as official distribution channel, exclusively for competition use, of the 2.0 litre K20A series engine, as used in Touring Cars and CN sports-prototypes VdeV series.

formed a technical partnership with famous Italian team JAS Motorsport in the FIA’s new R3 rally class, resulting in three wins in the first three events and growing customer orders.

supplied over 50 engines to engine preparation companies and car constructors since July 2007 start-up.

and comments “It is an essential responsibility of MUGEN EURO to encourage the concept of the HONDA Motor Sport World in the European Community. First priority has been to promote the K20A series, the latest version of this design being the FD2 delivering 225PS in production form”.

Where the technical regulations permit, specifically-developed Mugen parts are available for the K20A engine. These include a range of camshafts, forged pistons of different compression ratios and uprated valve springs, mechanical throttle bodies, ECU’s and electrical connector kits.

Engines fully race-prepared by MUGEN EURO are being supplied for other categories outside CN, the light and powerful K20A being very adaptable for almost any type of competition use.
