Kumho to supply tyres for the Mercedes-Benz Viano X-Clusive

Kumho Tyres has announced that it is to supply tyres for OE fit to the new Mercedes-Benz Viano X-Clusive – the range-topping Viano with the comfort of a luxury saloon and the practicality of an MPV, that made its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show last year.

The X-Clusive’s 18” alloy wheels will be shod with Kumho’s ECSTA KU19 UHP (Ultra High Performance) tyres. The asymmetric tread pattern combines optimal dry and wet weather performance with a smooth ride and minimal road noise.

Kumho has supplied Daimler AG with tyres for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class since last year and worked closely with the company in the development of the tyres for the Viano X-Clusive.

Kumho makes no secret of its intention to be among the top five global tyre suppliers by 2015 and is both investing heavily in its R&D facilities and strengthening its OE business operations in North America and Europe in pursuit of that aim.
