TyreSafe supporter base continues to grow
TyreSafe, the industry’s foremost tyre safety body, continues to attract leading companies from within the tyre industry as supporters for its tyre safety work. The latest company to join the growing list of supporters is Dutch tyre maker Vredestein. The inclusion of Vredestein brings the total number of UK companies supporting TyreSafe, from both within and outside the tyre industry, to nineteen. The key element that TyreSafe plays in raising the awareness of the important part that tyres play in improving road safety has been recognised by government, and in turn TyreSafe has become an active supporter of the Department for Transport’s Act On Co2 initiative, developed to help provide help and advice to reduce carbon emissions from motor vehicles.
The newly appointed managing director at Vredestein, Stuart Jackson, was instrumental in the decision by the company to become a full member of TyreSafe. “Despite being in the automotive industry constantly for seventeen years, I am new to the tyre industry,” said Stuart,” however, I quickly realised the important part that the organisation has played, and will continue to play, in raising the awareness of tyre safety – an objective that we at Vredestein consider to be vital to our own marketing objectives”.
