Sainsbury's Finance is offering a 20% online discount for pet owners wishing to insure their cats and dogs between now and 4th August 2009 - the biggest online discount it has ever offered on its pet insurance.

Joanne Mallon, Sainsbury's Pet Insurance Manager, said: "Vet fees have risen sharply in recent years. Yet our research shows that more than 450,000 people have recently given up their pet insurance in order to save money, potentially leaving themselves exposed to some very large bills.
