GreenChem celebrates 5th anniversary with new products

12th March 2008 Print
Europe’s leading independent supplier of AdBlue for on and off road vehicles is celebrating its 5th anniversary this month. It expects to achieve a turnover of €100 million in 2008.

AdBlue is the urea-based solution which helps vehicles using SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) engine technology to achieve the strict EU emissions limits of the latest Euro 4 and Euro 5 regulations. These regulations are fast setting that standard for truck and bus emission standards across the world and GreenChem is now active beyond its initial European markets in supplying AdBlue.

As the only dedicated provider of AdBlue – it even invented the now generic name – GreenChem is now using 13 European plants to produce its AdBlue, with an additional 10 production plants due to become operational across Europe before the end of this year.

While GreenChem is leading in the AdBlue market, it has pre announced the launch of other products which are in line with the growing need for lower emissions and energy savings for transport.

The extensive European distribution network of GreenChem dealers, supplying AdBlue to the market, will be the platform for the introduction, sales, marketing and distribution of these new products.

GreenChem is headquartered in Breda, the Netherlands. It has affiliated companies and sales offices in all major European countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic.

“We have achieved an enormous amount in our first five years”, says GreenChem’s Founding Managing Director Teun de Bruijn, “but there is much more development to come. As it now appears, SCR technology will be required by all vehicles to meet the demands of the event stricter Euro 6 legislation - expected in 2013 – we can expect demand to continue to rise steeply.

“It is our goal to remain in a leading position as an AdBlue supplier, thanks to our dedication to high quality, maximum availability with specialised storage and handling systems and our unique understanding of the market. We will use our network to launch new products which will benefit both vehicle operators and the environment by reducing both costs and harmful emissions”, he said.
