Tesco opens 50th Travel Money Shop
Holidaymakers who leave it till the last minute to sort out their foreign currency could find it is a costly mistake. Now Tesco can help thousands of travellers save on holiday expenses with the opening of its 50th in-store travel money shop.
Shoppers using the new bureau, at Burgess Hill, West Sussex, will avoid paying steep commission rates-the Tesco Travel Money Bureau charges 0% commission on all foreign currency and travellers' cheques and offers competitive exchange rates. Like all Tesco Travel Money outlets, the bureau stocks most major currencies and means customers can arrange currency for their foreign holidays while they buy their groceries.
Additionally, for every £250 spent on foreign currency, customers receive 25 Clubcard points.
Says Darryl Turk, Head of Tesco Travel Money: "Sorting out currency at the airport often means customers end up paying high commission rates. Customers tell us that they love our in-store service, especially that they can collect Clubcard points when they buy their holiday money through Tesco. We want to make it easier for customers in this uncertain economic climate, and we plan to open further bureaux between now and the end of the year, meaning even more people can save money, time and effort in planning their holidays."
The service offers free home delivery on all currency ordered over the telephone or online. For your nearest Tesco Travel Money Bureau, look at our bureau finder at tesco.com/finance. You can also order online at tescofinance.com.
