The New Face Of Eco Fashion

23rd March 2007 Print
Eco Clothing E-co Clothing, the UK’s new face of eco-fashion has launched its spring and summer organic clothes range. Far from the old grainy hemp T-shirts and tie-dyed kaftans typically associated with organic clothes, E-co Clothing’s range has been designed to appeal to 25-plus men and women who care about the planet, but don't want to sacrifice style. Instead think stylish suits, shirts, trousers and knitwear for the office and jeans to take you through the weekend.

Prices start from £25 for a woman’s t-shirt.

Steve Prince, the designer behind E-co Clothing commented; “E-co Clothing aims to prove that you can wear luxurious and comfortable clothes whilst being good to the environment.”

The range is made using the best quality organic cotton, woven especially for E-co Clothing in Japan. All dying and finishing methods are strictly controlled to minimise the impact on the environment. The garments are designed to be washable, so no dry-cleaning is required! None of the garments subscribe to the ‘fast fashion’ ethos and so minimise the impact disposable fashion also makes on our planet.

With high-end designers such as Stella McCartney including organic fabrics in their collections and celebs such as Brad Pitt, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sting and Julia Louis-Dreyfus also making a point of wearing clothing that benefits the environment, it’s only a matter of time before consumers look to follow this fashion trend.

“Choice is going to be key in revolutionising consumer’s fashion buying-habits. Our range not only offers choice, but the look and feel of our clothes are so in-line with today’s high street fashions that consumer’s won’t even realise they are buying organic,” Prince said.
