The UK’s Best Bikini Movie Moment Revealed

Ursula Andress rising from the sea in her famous white bikini has been voted the best bikini scene of all time, in a new survey. The 1962 scene, from James Bond's Dr No, sees her character Honey Ryder walk out of the ocean in the trademark two piece leaving men drooling over her and women wanting to be her.

And 45 years later, the survey, by high street lingerie and swimwear chain La Senza, revealed Brits still think it is the best bikini moment in the movies. The scene is so popular - it also featured at number three in the poll, with Halle Berry's remake in Die Another Day and at number nine with Mike Myers cringe worthy Austin Powers spoof.

Second place went to the moment Barbara Windsor's green bikini top flew off in Carry On Camping during an outdoor aerobics session, landing in the hands of Dr Soaper, played by Kenneth Williams.

Yet another white bikini took fourth place - this time being worn by American golden girl Cameron Diaz during her role as Natalie Cook in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

And seventies sexpot Bo Derek completed the top five with her sun-kissed bikini look in 1979 film "10".

The beach babe's braided hair and perfect bikini body not only won the heart of Dudley Moore's character in the film but had guys hearts racing worldwide.

Sixth in the poll, of 1,500 Brits, is Carrie Fisher in her gold Princess Leia bikini in Return of the Jedi followed by Jessica Alba's skimpy scenes as Sam in Into the Blue.

And the ultimate bikini girl Brigitte Bardot scooped the eighth spot having shot to fame appearing in a revealing two piece in the 1957 film And God Created Woman.

Completing the top ten bikini movie moments was a less sexy sight - Borat's luminous green 'mankini'.

The skimpy thong suit sported by Sasha Baron Cohen in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan led to copycat fancy dress costumes up and down the country.

Lisa Bond from La Senza said: "This survey goes to show how iconic bikini scenes are in the film industry and it's no surprise Ursula Andress scooped the top spot - her sexy walk out of the waves is an epic movie moment.

"But it's also interesting to see the different styles of bikini featuring in the top 10 - from Cameron Diaz's skimpy two piece to Barbara Windsor's more curvy number, showing whatever your shape, there's a bikini to match.
