Jenny Packham wins Best British Bridal Designer

The ceremony was hosted by TV’s funny man and magician Paul Zenon who entertained with his cheeky jokes and irreverent magic tricks.
His partner in crime was Bridal Buyer editor Susi Rogol who told the audience “I am delighted and proud that my magazine and our exhibition can play a part in bringing the British Bridal industry the recognition it so richly deserves.”
BEST BRITISH BRIDAL DESIGNER
The nominees were Alan Hannah, Amanda Wakeley, Caroline Castigliano, Ian Stuart, Jenny Packham & Suzanne Neville.
This is arguably the most coveted trophy of the night. This year for the first time the nominations for this category came from brides themselves, who were invited to cast their votes via the You and Your Wedding and the National Wedding Show websites. This category received thousands of votes.
Jenny Packham is recognised as one of the world’s most prominent designers and was there in person to pick up her award “I thoroughly enjoyed the Bridal Buyer Awards, and was thrilled to be voted Best British Bridal Designer. It was lovely to see how much the event has moved forward, and to be part of celebrating all aspects of the British Bridal Industry” she said. When casting their votes, comments posted on the website from brides included:
“No one designs dresses like Jenny Packham. They are simply unique.”
“She designs dresses for the red carpet” and “Her dresses are beautiful and special – everything a wedding dress should be.”
