Vivienne Westwood opens new boutique in Glasgow Vivienne Westwood’s first Scottish store opened in Glasgow’s prestigious Princes Square shopping centre last Friday (8 August). As the eighth Vivienne Westwood boutique in the UK, an extensive range will be available to shoppers including all lines; Anglomania, Gold Label, Red Label, MAN, jewellery, perfume and shoes. Each collection is known for being iconic and impeccably designed with Westwood’s trademark eye-for-detail.

Known as the ‘Grand Dame’ of British Fashion, Vivienne Westwood is a cultural icon whose impact on British fashion has been immense. From the early 70s and the dawn of punk, Westwood has continued to develop and innovate, earning a solid reputation for craftsmanship and tailoring, as well as countless admirers of her work; Gwen Stefani, Dita Von Teese and Sarah Jessica Parker to name a few.

Recognised as Scotland’s leading quality shopping experience, Princes Square is filled with original boutiques, high-end, high-street fashion, art and stylish restaurants and bars. The addition of the Vivienne Westwood brand will be a truly exciting new experience for shoppers and once again strengthens Glasgow’s reputation as the best shopping centre in the UK outside London.

Glasgow boasts an astonishingly comprehensive retail offer, with a presence from every major British retail brand plus significant numbers of niche names and independents. The city’s main retail thoroughfare, Buchanan Street, is also rated as the finest shopping street in Britain – ahead of London’s Regent Street.

In fact, within one square mile of shopping nirvana, visitors to Glasgow find everything from vintage to value…from Primark to Prada…from the season’s must-have it-bag to that pick-me-up macchiato or seductive French martini. And there’s always something going on to ensure any shopping spree in Glasgow becomes a uniquely memorable experience.

Seeglasgow.com/shopping provides an invaluable guide to city’s extraordinary variety of shops and stores, together with up-to-the-minute information on special facilities and events.
