Twiggy and Peaches donate to vintage treasure trove Carnaby is hosting a pop up vintage shop for children’s charity Barnardo’s – opening 1st November for one month only. The shop is bursting at the seams with retro and vintage donations, including shoes, bags and accessories from Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Patrick Cox, and Mary Quant, all awaiting the designer bargain hunters.

More excitement surrounds the large array of shoes donated to the store by Barnardo’s celebrity supporters. There are shoes from Peaches Geldof, Holly Willoughby’s signed Wedge Wellies and vintage Louis Vuittons from Rosamund Pike; all neatly perched alongside Geri Halliwell’s heels from the last Spice Girls tour, a pair of MIU MIU’s from Laura Bailey and some stunning footwear from Twiggy, Dame Helen Mirren, Trudie Styler and Joanna Lumley as well as a pair of brand new, blue sequinned Christian Louboutin stilettos, donated to Barnardo’s by Mr Louboutin himself.

The Barnardo’s vintage store is situated at 69 Broadwick Street (just off Carnaby Street) and will be open for one month only. All funds raised will go towards Barnardo’s vital work with vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK. This includes work with children affected by today’s most urgent issues: poverty, homelessness, disability, bereavement and abuse.

Barnardo’s works with more than 100,000 children, young people and their families in 383 specialised projects in local communities across the UK. For more information about Barnardo’s visit barnardos.org.uk.
