Fashion crunch? Gok Wan has the answer Ladies, you may be feeling the pinch, but that doesn't mean you have to scrimp on style. On your behalf, fashion guru Gok Wan has cast his discerning eye over all this 'global financial crisis' business and frankly, he's having none of it. So, in a one-man campaign to keep Britain's women looking like a million dollars while spending substantially less, Gok's hitting the road throughout England to dispense thrifty style advice as only he can.

With throwaway fashion no longer a viable option, Gok thinks it time to start thinking instead about maximising the impact of wardrobe staples such as the eternally versatile little black dress. With this philosophy to the fore, the effortlessly elegant and always amiable Mr Wan will be visiting London, Thurrock, Liverpool and Manchester as part of 3 Mobile's 'Trim Your Waste' campaign to show women how to make the most of your wardrobe.

But while an LBD may be essential, looking good is really all about knowing how to accessorise. From shoes to shades, from make-up to mobile phones, Gok's tips on upgrading your extras while downscaling your outlay are not to be missed.

GOK'S TOP TIPS

- The first thing at the top of your shopping list should be Autumn/Winter's most versatile staple - the wrap around black jersey dress - LBD! For a comfortable daytime look, wear with black opaque tights, ballet pumps, wrap around black ballet cardigan and a maxi bag.

- For lunch with the girls, pop on your LBD and add a fitted tailored waistcoat. This will support around your tum whilst showing off your fabulous bangers. Add some opaque tights, knee high boots, a statement necklace and over sized sunglasses for front row at Fashion Week appeal!

- Look out for recommend-a-friend deals on your network. If you get all your friends and family on one network you could save, and make, a packet! If your mate goes for Mobile Broadband and a phone you'll both get £45 credit each.

- Your LBD can work perfectly for that delectable dinner date too because it won't crease and it's self-altering around the waist. Team with high heels and a blazer to give the illusion of a smaller waist.

- Sundays are the new Saturdays so be prepared. Team flats with over-sized everything - a long cardigan, statement bag and shades. Make them big and girl you are one hot Sunday Lunch!

- 3 also has hot tips to help your hip pocket, such as handing in old handsets for cold hard cash, getting your friends on the one network and using internet services like Windows Live, Skype and Facebook to message and talk for free!
