Edinburgh boutique opens second store

11th September 2009 Print
Edinburgh’s fashion stalwart Frontiers is set to add more stylish credentials to the West End this week by opening a second store – Frontiers No 10 – including an exclusive Marilyn Moore concession.

Frontiers founder and knitwear designer Jane Forbes has been operating in Edinburgh for 18 years.

Jane is now creating the walk-in wardrobe of her dreams for her fashion-conscious clients: “Setting foot into Frontiers No 10 will feel like stepping into an oversized closet where your clothes are nicely displayed, making it easier to choose the perfect look for a day.

“We’re now exclusively stocking Marilyn Moore in Edinburgh, one of our customers’ favourite brands. We’ll be able to offer more choice and an even more personal service too.”

This year has been one of Frontiers’ most successful to date, with turnover increasing by over 30% compared to summer 2008.

Jane Forbes and her daughter Kim, who has also joined the business, credit their customers buying signature pieces for their success – and their eye for up and coming unique designers.

Jane explains: “We will be introducing brands like Nice Things and Sita Murt this autumn, because we were just blown away when we saw their collections in London and we are sure they will be a big hit with Frontiers customers.

“Fashion trends may go quickly, but outstanding design and great quality are always worth investing in. They help clothes stand the test of time.”

Frontiers No 10 will open its doors on 10 Stafford Street on 10 September and the store will offer different brands from those stocked at its sister store, Frontiers at 16 Stafford Street.
