Organic skin care company launches raw soap

Organic skin care company Raw Gaia has launched the UK’s first organic raw soap. It is gentle, truly delicious to use and one of the purest soaps available anywhere.

The vast majority of soaps are made through a high temperature process, which destroys most of the nutrients in the oils and creates toxic trans-fatty acids. Moreover, they often contain several nasty ingredients.

Joint Managing Director Lisa Lennon comments, “In contrast, Raw Gaia’s Organic Raw Soaps are hand-made using only organic and cold-pressed oils, infused with essential oils. They are made through a low temperature process (temperatures never go above 40 degrees Celsius), in order to retain all the goodness in the ingredients.”

Joint Managing Director Hector Bolanos adds, “For several months our customers had been asking us for a pure soap to complement our range of living skin care products. We are delighted to launch these new products. To start with, we are launching two varieties: Lavender & Rose Geranium.”

The ingredients in the Raw Soaps are:

• Organic & cold-pressed cocoa (cacao) butter: It helps to repair dry and damaged skin since it helps to regenerate skin cells and restore elasticity thanks to its high levels of antioxidants and minerals.

• Organic & cold-pressed coconut oil: It removes dead skin cells, which helps make the skin smoother and softer.

• Organic & cold-pressed red palm oil (sustainably harvested from Brazil): Rich in vitamin A and E, it is a great skin moisturiser and is also good for healing conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis

• Organic & cold-pressed sunflower oil: Rich in Vitamin E and Linoleic acid, which is essential for cell formation and healthy growth.

• Water, and

• Organic essential oil of lavender: it is good for all skin types since it promotes skin cell growth. It has a light, woody aroma, or

• Organic essential oil of rose geranium: an uplifting and sweet smelling oil, traditionally used in skin care products for its fragrance and cleansing properties.

The Raw Soap bars can be purchased directly from Raw Gaia as well as from selected health food shops and online stores, in the UK and abroad. Retail price is £3.95 and the net content is 110g.
