UK sun seekers shun protection Almost a third of people in the UK take in the sun’s rays without wearing sunscreen protection, reveals a survey* by Witch skincare. Despite widespread campaigns to raise awareness of the dangers of sun exposure on our skin and health, the poll of 1527 people found that a staggering 31% continue to go into the sun without protection. The numbers are even higher for 16-24 year olds, with almost half (48%) shunning sunscreen.

Bhavika Mistry, senior brand manager from Witch skincare says: “Maintaining the skin’s natural beauty is at the core of our offering, and we aim to provide advice and products to help people take the best possible care of it. As skincare specialists, we are concerned to hear that so many people continue to go into the sun unprotected. We are a nation of sun worshippers, however there are ways to do it safely.”

You don’t have to go into the sun to get a tan. Witch has developed a natural tanning moisturiser to give your face that perfect natural bronzed look throughout the year- without the need to take in the harmful rays of the sun.

Witch Natural Sunshine is a gradual tanning moisturiser, available in Boots stores nationwide.

Witch Natural Sunshine is packed in a handy 50g tube and priced at £3.99. Witch has a range of products to suit every gender, age and skin type. Go to witchskincare.com for further information on the Witch skincare range and for handy tips and skincare advice.

If you are going out into the sun always use a suitable sun screen.
