Formula Palmer Audi powers into second year with Comma

Comma’s second season as technical partner to the prestigious Formula Palmer Audi (FPA) championship will blast off at the opening round at Donington Park, on April 12/13.

Car care specialist, Comma, provided engine and gearbox oil, coolants and brake fluids for all 22 cars in the FPA series last year, as well as all cars run by MotorSport Vision’s (MSV) corporate driving activities at Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Bedford Autodrome, without a single mechanical failure.

Gravesend-based Comma will also continue its personal sponsorship of Jolyon Palmer, son of MSV chief executive and ex-Formula 1 driver, Jonathan Palmer.

After the Donington opener, the FPA championship runs alongside the most high-profile race series to visit the UK, A1GP, World Touring Cars and DTM (German Touring Cars). The title fight will be contested over eight rounds, visiting current Grand Prix circuits, Silverstone and Spa in Belgium, as well as the legendary Brands Hatch Grand Prix track.

Palmer Jr won two races last year, before a serious quad bike accident curtailed his season. Fellow ’07 driver, Stefan Wilson, became the first FPA driver to win the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.
