Luxury Swedish bed manufacturer, Hastens has launched the innovative MindSpa, an auditory visual stimulation, (AVS) digital player designed to help reduce stress, leading to a better quality of sleep. The Hästens MindSpa system includes a visual audio player kit consisting of headphones and light simulation glasses and is as compact as an iPod. Specially designed programmes are available to help induce sleep and relaxation and last from 20 minutes to an hour.

To help reduce the stresses and strains of daily life an individual programme is selected and soothing sounds start to pulse through the headphones. Then soft flickering lights can be seen through the glasses. The sounds and lights simultaneously slow down, with the idea being that your mind and body will do the same.

The Hästens MindSpa is the result of years of research and builds on a patented technology developed at Stanford University in the US. Stimulating different brain frequencies, the MindSpa’s uniquely designed programmes promote mental agility, deep relaxation and stress reduction, leading to a better night’s sleep.
