Ascari KZ1 Joins 200mph Club at Autosport International

5th January 2006 Print
Ascari KZ1 A year on from its official launch, the Ascari KZ1 is back in Birmingham for Autosport International, a motor show like no other which sees the great and the good of the world’s motor industry fighting it out for the attention of almost 90,000 show goers.

One of the biggest attractions is sure to be the ‘200mph Club’; a gathering of six otherworldly supercars, such as the Ferrari Enzo and Ford GT, all capable of topping the most elusive performance benchmark of them all. The Ascari will be amongst that six, with the KZ1 standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the greatest names in the motor industry.

Best of all, the Ascari chalks one up for the British. Built and designed in England by a team of leading motoring engineers and technicians, the KZ1 boasts state of the art construction, dazzling visuals and barnstorming performance. All of which signals an increased intent for the Banbury based manufacturer, particularly in light of the company’s hotly anticipated newcomer, the Ascari A10.

The A10 is Ascari at its most extreme. Boasting 600mph and 220mph potential, the A10 has been designed from the outset to deliver race car technology for the road.

Still, with more than six months to go before the newcomer’s official release, it’s down to the KZ1 to fight the Ascari corner single-handedly. With 500bhp and a sprint to 60mph time of only 3.6 seconds, that shouldn’t be a problem for the £235,000 supercar that’s set to wow Autosport International show goers for the second year running.

Held at Birmingham’s NEC between the 12th and 15th of January, Autosport International is Europe’s largest dedicated motorsport exhibition and attracts some of the biggest names in the industry. Along with the 200mph club, visitors to the event will be treated to a spectacle of motoring events and interactive experiences sure to satisfy the thirst of even the most hardened petrol head.

You can avoid the queues and book online now at www.autosport-international.com for tickets to the show, which include entrance to the Live Action Arena at £25.00 for adults and £17.50 for children, or by calling the ticket hotline on 0870 380 2244.

Brand new for 2006 is an exclusive Paddock Pass ticket available at £31. This special pass gives holders access to the new paddock area built backstage in the Live Action Arena where you can get up close to the cars and talk to the drivers. You will also get fast-track entry and priority seating in the Live Action Arena plus the opportunity to watch extra performances from the sidelines. This fantastic offer also includes exclusive access to the Driver Signing Area with the opportunity to obtain autographs from your racing heroes.
