Soap Stars Get Hands Dirty For Charity

8th November 2006 Print
Kym March of Coronation Street The cream of the north’s soap stars, presenters and sporting heroes are set to make their mark in aid of the anti-bullying movement next week when they place a colourful paint-handprint onto a massive 2.1m x1.5m pane of glass in support of Kingfisher’s ‘Hands Up If You’re Against Bullying’ campaign – an initiative designed to raise awareness of the forthcoming Official Anti-Bullying Week.

The regional and national celebrities, including members of the cast of Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Heartbeat, will be registering their handprint as precursor to the Kirklees National Anti-Bullying Conference (20 –24th November, Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield), where the celebrity handprints will be on display. Fresh panes of glass-style acrylic will be present at the event for visitors of all ages to take the lead of their celebrity idols and make a pledge against bullying.

The celebrity tour will take place on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th November at several locations across Yorkshire and Lancashire.
