9th November 2006 Print
Jennifer Love Hewitt The Truth About Love, a riotous tale about how far a woman will go to test her man, will open in cinemas across the United Kingdom on February 16, 2006. From BAFTA and Emmy award-winning director John Hay (Stig of the Dump, There’s Only One Jimmy Grimble), The Truth About Love stars Jennifer Love Hewitt in her first romantic comedy since the 2001 hit ‘Heartbreakers’.

Produced by Christopher Figg (Trainspotting, Heidi, The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby) and Tracey Adam, The Truth About Love is a hilarious rom-com which boasts a wealth of British talent including Dougray Scott, and will introduce Simon Webbe, formerly of boy-band Blue, in his first acting role.

Alice, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, is a woman happily married to lawyer Sam (Jimi Mistry) and blissfully unaware that she is the object of his best friend Archie’s (Dougray Scott) affections. During one drunken night, Alice’s sister makes a bet that if Alice were to send Sam an anonymous Valentine’s card he would hide it from her. Keen to prove her husband’s fidelity, and her sister wrong, Alice does just that and when Sam fails to mention the card he has received, it sets off a chain of events and revelations that ultimately sees Alice seducing the unfaithful Sam in the guise of his sexy secret admirer ‘Anonymous’. Devastated by the consequences of her actions, Alice seeks solace from Archie, but will Alice realise that true love might be right in front of her before it’s too late? The Truth About Love is the perfect film for Valentine’s Day.
