Extreme: Skinny Celebrities

As 2007 nears - it’s all about the 00 dress size and what it takes to get there... Following on from the first hugely successful Extreme: Skinny Celebrities one off documentary, Skinny is the hot topic that just isn’t going away. Extreme: Skinny Celebrities 2 sees Skinny fever reach new levels as it explores the arrival of the worrying size 00 and attempts to reveal the reasons behind the new wave in obsessive dieting.

The show will also use graphic morphing to reveal how celebrities such as Charlotte Church, Kate Winslet and Kelly Osbourne would look if their dieting wasted them away to the new size to be – the 00!

This new hour long one-off documentary will explore the different areas that seem to attract fanatical dieting; young Hollywood, the music industry and the current crop of young models. The show explores the current debate raging over the pressure to be thinner than ever, with potential long term damage to bodies just one of the terrifying consequences.

With recent press throwing light on some fashion shows banning models whose BMI (Body Mass Index) is lower than 18, Extreme: Skinny Celebrities 2 will count down to the celebrity with the loser BMI…that is just 15.

Stars focused on in the show will include Kimberly Stewart, Eva Herzigova, Mischa Barton, Kate Bosworth, Keira Knightley, Amy Winehouse and Jessica Simpson to name a few. All have brushed close to a Size 00 in the past or present – but where do they draw the line? What’s the difference between a naturally slender frame and a life threatening eating disorder?
