James McAvoy James McAvoy, former star of Shameless, and more recently The Last King of Scotland feature film, is supporting the film's chosen charity Retrak, by narrating an exclusive Community Channel documentary called On The Tigers' Trail: Hope for Street Children in Uganda.

The half-hour documentary premieres on the digital TV station on Friday, January 12th at 9:30pm in conjunction with the UK release of The Last King of Scotland.

The programme reports on how RETRAK are uniting street boys whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS, abuse and rejection through the Tigers Club, a project that seeks to enable homeless children to realise their potential and discover their worth through football, education, training and care.

James McAvoy said: "I think it's great that Community Channel are supporting the work of RETRAK. It was a real pleasure to voice a documentary that highlights the great work that this invaluable charity does with street kids - they don't just throw money at Uganda's homeless problem, they support the human from childhood to adulthood by providing them with many opportunities, whether educational or professional."

"Having the Community Channel show a documentary about the Tigers Club will enable us to reach out to many, many more people and hopefully access more interest and finance to enable more of the street children of Kampala to have a life worth living," added Lisa Bryer, producer of The Last King of Scotland.

The film got involved with RETRAK as the director Kevin MacDonald, and producers Lisa Bryer and Andrea Calderwood are all parents and were keen to support a local children's charity whilst filming The Last King of Scotland - they even used some of the street kids from the Tigers Club as film extras.
