Gemma Atkinson Leaves TV Song Contest

Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson has become the 7th celebrity to leave ITV1’s Soapstar Superstar programme, despite wowing the show’s judges with her raunchy routines. Gemma, who is reportedly dating Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, said “I’ve never sung in front of an audience before - unless you count singing karaoke!".

And whilst Gemma may not have taken first prize in the competition, she's delighted to have raised money for the British Heart Foundation, the charity for which she is a patron.

Gemma said “I think the Pink medley was my best performance, so it was nice to go out on high.”

The four remaining contestants include Hayley Tamaddo, who plays Emmerdale’s Delilah Dingle, Antony Cotton, Coronation Street’s Sean Tully, Mark Furze who plays Eric Dalby in Australian soap Home & Away, and the gorgeous Tupele Dorgu – Coronation Street’s Kelly Crabtree.

Soapstar Superstar will broadcast tonight at on ITV1 at 9pm.
