Jennifer Ellison Returns To Chicago

16th January 2007 Print
Jennifer Ellison “Murder, greed, violence, corruption, exploitation, adultery, treachery ... all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts.” So begins the hit musical Chicago, starring Jennifer Ellison (TV’s Brookside and the movie The Phantom Of The Opera) as Roxie Hart, which will be at The Mayflower direct from the West End next month.

The shows creators John Kander, Fred Ebbe and Bob Fosse keep their bold and sinister promise, with danger, dazzle, style and a great deal of humour. Chicago is the kiss-and-tell tale of Roxie Hart, a nightclub dancer who kills her lover, of her sharp lawyer who turns her into a celebrity, and of a jailbird showgirl with an eye for the headlines. Never have comedy and eroticism been so interwoven as in this timely satire on justice and celebrity.

Filled with hit songs such as All That Jazz, Razzle Dazzle and Me And My Baby, it also features a cast oozing sex appeal, hot and jazzy music, sensuous dancing and costumes that are really something else!

Tickets for Chicago (running 5 – 17 February 2007) are available from The Mayflower Box Office, online at The-mayflower.com or in person from Mayflower Ticketsouth, at WestQuay Shopping Centre, Southampton.
