Catch Nigel Harmon At The Mayflower Next Month

Nigel Harmon Nigel Harman will star as ‘Sky Masterson’ and Shaun Williamson will star as ‘Nathan Detroit ’in the national production of the smash hit West End musical “Guys And Dolls” at the Mayflower Theatre Southampton, next month (1 – 12 May). Lynsey Britton will star as ‘Miss Adelaide’ and Louise Dearman will star as ‘Sarah Brown’.

Nigel Harman will recreate the starring role of ‘Sky Masterson’ in “Guys And Dolls” which he played to great acclaim at the Alexandra Theatre Birmingham at Christmas and in London for three months at the beginning of last year. Nigel Harman has played many roles on the London stage, including ‘Kevin Cartwright’ in Michael Grandage’s production of “Privates on Parade” at the Donmar Warehouse.

His West End musicals include “Mamma Mia!”, “Damn Yankees” and “Tommy”. He played ‘Dan Coulthard’ in “Red Cap” on television; however, it was his role as ‘Dennis Rickman’ in “EastEnders” that propelled him to national fame. He has recently appeared as ‘Mick’ in “The Caretaker” in London.

Most recently a finalist in “Comic Relief Does Fame Academy”, Shaun Williamson was a mainstay star of “EastEnders” for nine years, playing the much loved ‘Barry Evans’. On television, he also played ‘Cliff’ in “Funland” for the BBC, appeared in “Bremner, Bird and Fortune” and he has starred in “Extras” with Ricky Gervais. His stage work includes the West End production of “Saturday Night Fever” and playing ‘The Narrator’ in “The Rocky Horror Show”.

Lynsey Britton has appeared in the West End musicals “Calamity Jane”, “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” and “Cats”. She also starred as ‘Miss Adelaide’ for a four-week season at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, opposite Patrick Swayze. Louise Dearman has recently played the role of ‘Mimi’ in the London production of “Guys And Dolls” and her other musical credits include “Jekyll and Hyde”, “Grease”, “Kiss Me, Kate” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.

Michael Grandage’s production of “Guys And Dolls” is based on the stories of Damon Runyon. With music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, “Guys And Dolls” is designed by Christopher Oram, with choreography by Rob Ashford, musical supervision by Jae Alexander, lighting by Howard Harrison and sound by Terry Jardine and Chris Full.

Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group and David Ian for Live Nation produce the Donmar Warehouse production of “Guys And Dolls”.
