Alec Baldwin Makes Outburst On Daughter’s Voicemail

Alec Baldwin called his 11-year-old daughter a "rude, thoughtless little pig" when she failed to answer the phone to him. The actor had phoned his daughter Ireland for a pre-scheduled conversation - as part of his custody arrangements - and was so angered when she did not answer he left a scathing voicemail message.

His ex-wife Kim Basinger, Ireland's mother, allegedly leaked the rude message to the media.

In the message, dating from April 11, which gossip website TMZ.com posted yesterday, Alec also rants: "I made an a*s out of myself trying to make this call. You have insulted me for the last time. You don't have the brains or the decency as a human being.

"You've made me feel like a fool over and over and over again. I'm gonna straighten you're a*s out when I see you, do you understand me?"

TMZ.com also reported that a judge had heard the tape and "temporarily suspended" Alec's visitation rights.

The actor's spokesperson hit back claiming Kim had violated court agreements by leaking the message.

He said: "In the best interest of the child, Alec will do what the mother is pathologically incapable of doing - keeping his mouth shut and obeying the court order.

"The mother and her lawyer leaked this sealed material in violation of a court order. Although Alec acknowledges that he should have used different language in parenting his child, everyone who knows him privately knows what he has been put through for the past six years."

Two years ago, Alec endured a lengthy and bitter court battle to gain extra visitation rights and access to his daughter.

The star branded his ex-wife Kim a "child snatcher", because she reportedly failed to allow him enough time with their child and broke custody agreements. The '8 Mile' actress already faces contempt charges, dating from last year, for disobeying court orders relating to their custody arrangements.

Alec is said to have called Ireland not long after to apologise for his outburst.
