Beckhams Fear US Death Threats
David Beckham's security will be tightened to protect him from death threats when he moves to Los Angeles. Concerns that the soccer star - who moves Stateside in the summer after signing a deal with Los Angeles Galaxy - could become a target for criminals have resulted in heightened safety precautions.A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Security is the Beckhams' top priority. They'll cut absolutely no corners on this subject. Only the best will do, and then some.
"Los Angeles Galaxy have paid a lot of money for David. They will do everything to protect their asset."
David's new bosses are taking steps to ensure the stadium where he is ultra-secure. Metal detectors are being installed at every entrance. David and wife Victoria, who have three sons, have reportedly hired a top security team to prepare for their new life in the US.
The family will have round-the-clock protection from a team of minders – which include former CIA operatives. And their new home will be kitted out with 'fortress-style' locks and alarms.
