Beyoncé To Headline RnB Season

Tracing the rich musical heritage of Rhythm and Blues, from its roots in the American Deep South to the global phenomenon that it is today, The RnB Season is proud to present a packed programme including concerts, Q&A sessions with artists, retrospectives and a showcase for unsigned acts.
Throughout June Arts Council England celebrates with the help of some legendary names from the world of RnB. A series of unmissable gigs kicks off on June 2nd when Beyoncé opens The RnB Season with two dates at Wembley Arena, followed by shows from legends including Bo Diddley, Smokey Robinson and Al Green at prestigious venues including Ronnie Scott’s and the Jazz Café.
Music World Entertainment International, said: “Beyonce is really looking forward to performing in London and proud to be a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations for the RnB Season.”
Fans of RnB will also get the chance to get up close and personal with their favourite artists during Q&A sessions with some of music industry’s biggest names, including John Legend, who will also be performing an acoustic set during the season.
The RnB Season is about more than just stars and gigs. It will also see the launch of a bursary scheme for young RnB writers and musicians in association with The British Academy of Songwriters and Composers to help them get a head-start in the industry.
