Slash motoring fuel bills by visiting Green-Car-Guide Live! 2008
Green-Car-Guide Live! 2008, likely to be the UK’s largest Green Motor Show, will feature a range of the latest energy-efficient vehicles that can help motorists and fleet operators save money on running costs. The event provides an opportunity for people to see class-leading low emission vehicles in the metal, all in one place.
Green-Car-Guide Live! 2008 will take place on Thursday 12th June 2008 at the new award-winning Arena & Convention Centre in Liverpool. The event is aimed at businesses and other organisations with vehicle fleets, and entrance is free, simply register online at Green-Car-Guide.com.
The low carbon vehicles exhibited will range from city cars through to executive cars and light commercial vehicles. Vehicle technology will include petrol, diesel, biofuel, hybrid and electric.
A certain star of the show is the new SEAT Ibiza Ecomotive. One of the UK’s few conventional-engined cars with CO2 emissions under 100g/km, it’s exempt from road tax. Even better, it averages more than 74mpg while still offering peppy performance and a price tag that, from £11,000, won’t break the bank.
There will also be a number of ‘show stoppers’ on display, ranging from the pioneering Oaktec Honda hybrid rally car to a diesel-electric Land Rover Defender. Commercial vehicles will include zero-emission electric vans, and HGVs powered by gas. There will even be a tractor and a racing truck that both use 100% sustainable biodiesel, as well as an innovative off-road rally Range Rover that uses engine oil made from plants.
The event will also include a seminar programme covering subjects such as an overview of the latest green vehicles and the real-life facts about biofuels that you won’t find in the media. In addition there will be a series of technical workshops run by Cenex showcasing UK supply chain capability, particularly in the commercial vehicle sector.
GreenerFleet™, a range of solutions that allow real-time monitoring and reduction of vehicle emissions, will be showcased by the show’s main sponsor, Masternaut Three X. These solutions include a live carbon calculator and mobile resource management systems that increase efficiency, lower costs and improve sustainability.
Green-Car-Guide Live! 2008 is organised by Green-Car-Guide.com, in association with Merseytravel’s ECOtravel Bureau, and sponsored by Masternaut Three X GreenerFleet, Cenex and the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
