Fresh Adoption Rumours Surround Madonna & Guy

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have reportedly had a furious showdown over her plans to adopt again. The couple, who have been married for seven years, have allegedly been rowing since Madonna flew to Malawi to meet with a three-year-old girl called Grace. Guy is said be uncomfortable with the idea of expanding his family, following the furore over their adoption of one-year-old Malawi boy David Banda last year.

A friend told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Guy is very happy that they decided to adopt David but he believes that they have already attracted enough criticism.

"He wants them both to keep a low profile and continue focusing on David – who still needs time to adjust to his new life."

Madonna - whose representatives deny she travelled to Malawi to adopt again - is said to be losing the battle with her husband.

A friend of the couple said: "They've basically reached a stalemate, but in the end it looks like Madonna might back down."

Madonna and Guy adopted David amid much controversy that their application had been fast-tracked because of their celebrity status.
