The Game Is Up As Rapper Gets Arrested

14th May 2007 Print
The Game has been arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats. The rapper - real name Jayceon Terrell Taylor - was arrested after police issued a warrant to search his home in Glendale, Los Angeles, on Friday.

The former G-Unit member, who was released early on Saturday morning after posting $50,000 bail, was taken into custody on suspicion of making criminal threats to an unidentified person in February.

Officers took $3,000 from The Game during their search, but returned the sum after he was released by the Los Angeles Police Department. The 27-year-old hip-hop star's mother arrived at his house during the search, and after being informed of his arrest reportedly replied: "He's a gangsta rapper."

The Game insisted he was not guilty as he was taken away from his home in handcuffs. In November, the rapper was arrested in New York City on suspicion of persuading a cab driver to run through a series of red lights after he told him he was an undercover police officer.
