Help Toby Anstis Make A Million For Cancer Research UK

The 12th London Pride Walk and Fun Run, is on Sunday June 3.
This year’s event is extra special as it looks certain that the total amount raised over the last 12 years will smash the £1 million target.
Toby said: “Everyone knows someone affected by cancer and all the money from this event goes straight to back into the local community at Hammersmith Hospital where the charity is continuing its vital research work.
“The London Pride walk is a great, sociable day out – meeting fellow participants and soaking up the sights along the banks of the River Thames. And every step you take is money earned for Cancer Research UK.”
The walk starts at Homefields Park South, Chiswick Lane, Chiswick, at 10.30am. There will be an aerobic warm up, a raffle and Fuller, Smith & Turner plc will be providing free refreshments to all participants with prizes for the top fundraisers.
Emma Carlisle, area volunteer manager for Cancer Research UK, said: “Thanks to the fantastic support we have had over the years, we are on course to make a million pounds this year.
“The London Pride event is great for all the family – you can walk, run or just amble around the 10k course along the banks of the Thames and enjoy the entertainment. The money raised is vital to our research work and will help Cancer Research UK find further treatments and cures.”
Registration in advance is free or you can enter on the day for a £10 fee. Each participant is encouraged to raise at least £50 in sponsorship. To register or find out more details email londonoffice@cancer.org.uk.
Toby hosts the Heart 106.2 morning show from Monday to Saturday starting at 9am.
